The Gite is strictly non-smoking and not suitable for pets.

Accommodation

The lounge/diner is comfortably furnished and contains a dining table and chairs to seat four and a large, comfortable bed settee.

There is also a radio/CD/cassette player, cards, dominoes and games and a number of books, magazines and puzzles for use by guests.

The fitted kitchen contains a full-size electric cooker, large fridge, microwave oven, electric kettle and all the crockery, cutlery, pots and pans that you are likely to need, including sandwich boxes and a large cool box with freezer blocks. There is also a small iron, ironing board and clothes airer.

The bedroom has a double bed, bedside cabinets with radio alarm and table lamp, a large mirrored wardrobe, chest of drawers and a dressing table. A cot and high-chair can be provided if required.

The shower room has a sunken shower, wash basin and toilet and a large bathroom cupboard.

Garden

To the rear of the gite is a small mature garden with patio table and chairs, sun loungers and a small barbecue.

Local area

The gite is located in the heart of the Vendée village of St Gervais and is just a short walk from local shops, bar and restaurants.

A one minute drive from the gite in the direction of Beauvoir sur Mer will bring you to a large Intermarché supermarket, petrol station, launderette and garage.

Whether you are looking for safe, sandy beaches, the peace and tranquility of the marais or just a base for exploring the region, the Vendée village of St Gervais is ideally situated.

Just a short drive away are both the popular resort of St Jean de Monts, with its miles of sandy beaches and famous golf course and the wonderful oyster port of Port du Bec.

The local marais, or marshland, with its abundance of wildlife, regularly attracts bird watchers, painters and photographers alike. There are also hundreds of kilometres of quiet country lanes and walking and cycling tracks in the area making St Gervais an ideal base, no matter what kind of holiday you are looking for.

Nantes airport is just a 45 minute drive from St Gervais.

All electricity, linen and towels (not beach towels) are all included at no extra charge and you will be welcomed personally by the owners on your arrival.

A small welcome pack is provided that includes milk, sugar, tea and coffee.

La Petite Maison is available all year for both short and longer term lets.

Holiday bookings are normally from Saturday to Saturday but we can be flexible out of season for short breaks and/or to allow for cheaper mid-week ferry crossings.
