	Loire Valley accommodation with its own well stocked private fishing lake.


	Le Poire Blanc offers you the opportunity to escape from the everyday hustle and bustle of every day life at home. The house is set in 1.3 hectares of the French Loire Valley, 2 miles from the village of Mansigne, on the banks of its own private lake and only persons booked into the cottage are allowed into the grounds or to fish the lake.

Accommodation

Well equipped kitchen with large fridge freezer, dishwasher, 4-ring gas hob, electric oven, microwave, washing machine and a wide range of utensils.

A comfortable lounge leads on to the dining room.
There is also a range of DVDs, CDs and videos available for your entertainment.

High ceiling conservatory with views over the lake.

Double bedroom.

Bedroom with bunk beds.

There is a futon in the lounge which pulls out into an extra double bed.

Bathroom with over-bath shower and wash basin.

Separate WC.

Central heating will ensure that any night chills do not spoil your holiday.

Outside

There is the private 1.8 acre lake to fish and a children’s play area with swings and goal posts.

Under shelter at the side of the lake is a barbecue, a second excellent barbecue is set in the conservatory.

The Lake

Le Poire's lake was stocked with over 250lbs of carp in 2004, to add to the already impressive stock.
No fishing permit is required to fish at Le Poire, but you will need one if you wish to fish off site.

With almost 2 acres to fish, you will not have any trouble finding a peg on Le Poire Blanc's spring-fed private lake. Best of all, the fishing is included in the price when you book your holiday.

The main species in the lake is carp, at least one of which is 36lb+. There is also a sprinkling of 20's, and a good head of mid doubles. You can also expect to catch bream to 7lb, perch to 3lbs, tench and roach.

The lake is extremely well stocked and no one should struggle to catch, whether an experienced angler, or a complete novice.

Rules are kept to a minimum and all we ask is that you use barbless hooks and no keep nets.

Local area

The property is at the end of a private driveway and just 2 miles from the village of Mansigne where there are various shops and a large lake with a range of water sports and fishing available.

Nearby towns include Tours, Angers and Saumur.

Le Mans is a 30 minute drive away.

The Loire Valley is a fantastic place to explore with its vineyards and chateaux.
The quiet country lanes are perfect for cycling or just strolling down.

The ports of St Malo and Caen are a 2 hour drive from Le Poire Blanc. Travelling via the Channel tunnel takes approximately 5 hours.
