Accommodation

Kitchen - a light and airy room with a double sink overlooking the rear with great views. It is very well equipped with a fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, washing machine and a 5-ring gas hob and oven.

Lounge/Diner - with two 2-seater sofas in front of the TV and DVD player, dining table to seat four, books and games for young and old and  access to the rear courtyard.

First floor

Main bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe bedside cabinets and lamps and a full length mirror.

Twin room with single beds, two chests of drawers and a hanging rail.

Spacious shower room with WC, shower and hand basin.

Outside

We have a large garden with vegetable plot and orchard. We keep free range chickens and geese and offer fresh eggs, fruit and vegetables(grown organically) in season.

Local area

Located in the friendly village of Villepail, which offers a well-stocked fishing lake, boules pitch and lots of great walks.

Villepail is easy to reach from the ferry ports.

Villaines La Juhel - 10 minutes -  is our local market town. It has everything you need including a supermarket, swimming pool, shops and lots of restaurants and bars.

Sillé la Guillame (coco plage) - 45 minutes - has something for everyone. There is a sandy beach with safe swimming and lots of water sports, including canoeing.

Bagnoles de l'Orne - 30 minutes - is a spa town and has several hotels offering spa treatments for non residents. There is a casino and some superb restaurants.

St. Leonard du Bois and the villages of the Alpes Mancelles are only about 20 minutes away and some of the most stunning forest and countryside with lots of walks and nature trails.

Lassay les Chateaux - 20 minutes - is very popular with our guests.

Alencon - 30 minutes - has a Saturday market in the shadow of the gothic church and has some great shops.

Mayenne - 20 minutes is a lovely river side town with chateau.

Le Mans is a little further but well worth the trip.

The price includes heating, gas (for cooking) and all bedding and linen.

There is a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and sugar and in the summer months you will receive a complimentary vegetable box.

We will consider pets.

The cottage has a no smoking policy.
