Youngsters will enjoy collecting their own breakfast eggs from the free-range chickens or perhaps helping to look after Silas the donkey and the goats.
Red squirrels and water voles live in the area, deer have been spotted in the woods and if you are very lucky you might even catch a glimpse of the elusive black pigs that still roam wild in the region.
Kingfishers, woodpeckers and buzzards also inhabit the area.

Couesmes-Vaucé - 1km - has a bar, small shop and petrol station.
St Fraimbault - 4km - has a bar, butcher, small supermarket and a restaurant. There are three lakes where pedaloes can be hired.
Gorron - 10km - the nearest big town with all amenities.
Ambrieres - 10km - a riverside town with two excellent restaurants.
The three main towns of Domfront, Mayenne and Laval are a short drive away.
Further afield are Mont St Michel, Cancale with lovely beaches and seafood restaurants, Bayeux, and the Normandy Landing beaches of the Second World War.
The ports of Caen and St Malo are 90 minutes away, Cherbourg and Le Havre are approximately two and a half hours. Dinard is the closest airport.
