Outside

Heated, kidney shaped pool (11m x 7m) with sliding cover offering near year round swimming whatever the weather.

The pool is ideal for beginners to experienced swimmers with a level plateau of 1.2 metres gently sloping to 1.8 metres at its deepest point.

Games room with table tennis and table football.

There is an unsupervised children’s play area where children can play on the swings, a slide or in the sand pit.

Laundry facilities - you have access to our laundry facilities equipped with three washing machines and an outdoor clothes line.

Bed and Breakfast

From September to June we offer three en-suite bedrooms in our recently converted two-storey barn.

Champagne has a king size double bed, while Merlot and Chardonnay offer the flexibility of either twin or king size double beds. All have showers, vanity units,tea and coffee-making facilities and are centrally heated.

Merlot and Chardonnay are on the first floor while Champagne is at ground level. All have views over rural countryside.

On the ground floor there is a residents kitchen, open plan lounge / dinning room with TV, CD stereo.

The kitchen facilities include electric oven, gas hob, microwave and fridge-freezer.

The lounge opens into a covered terrace with outdoor furniture and has a communal barbecue at your disposal.

During your stay you have access to our heated / covered pool, grounds, games rooms and laundry facilities.

Local area

Les Touches is an ideal starting point from which to visit many of the local areas attractions.

The nearest towns are Saumur (17km), Angers (40km), Cholet (49km), Poitiers (83km) and Tours ( 75km).

Local historical attractions include Abbey de Fontevraud, the largest remaining medieval abbey in France and Chateau du Chinon, an important shrine in Joan of Arc country.

Being a prime wine growing area there are abundant vineyards offering a varied wine tasting experience.

Zoo Doue La Fontaine has a world class zoo that has been developed in a very unusual setting of an old stone quarry.

Doue La Fontaine offers many sporting facilities including tennis, horse riding and outdoor swimming pool.  It also has many rose gardens and hosts a rose festival every July.

Mushroom Museum.

Many Troglodyte villages.

The Cadre Noir and National Horse Riding school, Saumur daily training sessions available for public viewing demonstrating the impressive display of dressage, an equestrian tradition founded in the 16th century.

Puy Du Fou, a day and night of activity. Includes a falconry show, Gallo - Roman Stadium, Medieval Battle and city and a light and sound show depicting the Vendee Wars.

Futuroscope - a futuristic theme park exploring modern and visual technology is 100kms away.

Peak season changeover day Anjou - Friday, Bonnezeaux and Chenin - Saturday.

Prices include all bed linen and house towels (not swimming towels).

Cot and highchair available upon request.

A cold buffet meal can be provided on the day of your arrival at a cost of €15.00 per person. This will be prepared and placed in your gite for you to enjoy at your leisure.

Part or split weeks maybe possible out of peak season.

10% discount on second and subsequent weeks.
 

Specials for Couples

Between September and June a couple can stay in either Bonnezeaux and Chenin for a 20% discount on the advertised price and in July and August they get an automatic 10% discount.

A cold meal including wine is available on Saturday. This is by prior arrangement and costs €15.00 per person.
