Gite Roseraie

This lovely cottage has a large fully equipped kitchen and dining area with a super oak dining table for 10 - 12 people and a very spacious sitting room with TV and DVD player.

The cottage retains all its charming features of stone walls and oak beams but with modern fixtures and fittings.

Ground floor double bedroom with ensuite shower room.

Upstairs are two incredibly large, airy bedrooms both with bathrooms.

Both bedrooms have a double bed and two single beds.

Guests have full use of the swimming pool, lake for fishing/boating and the gardens and grounds.

The cottage has its own garden area to the front of the gite with garden furniture and barbecue.

Gite Lavande

Being completely on the ground floor this is ideal for people with mobility problems and for young children.

The gite retains charming features such as stone walls and oak beams throughout.

Fully fitted kitchen / dining room.

Sitting room with log burner, TV and DVD player.

Double bedroom.

Triple bedroom with a small double bed and an extra large single bed.

Guests have full use of the swimming pool, lake for fishing/boating and the gardens and grounds of La Prairie.

To the front, the gite has its own garden furniture and barbecue.

Gite Glycine

A perfect small gite overlooking the swimming pool, lake and the horses field beyond.

Glycine is cosy and ideal for two.

There is a living area with double bed, single bed, dining table and comfortable chairs.

The small kitchenette has a fridge, microwave/normal oven and hob.

There is a small shower room.

Access is via the swimming pool area, so not recommended for small children.

Local area and activities

The property is situated near Vernantes on the edge of the Regional National Park of the Loire Valley, which is classified as a UNESCO world heritage site.

La Prairie is within easy driving distance of the chateaux and vineyards of the Loire Valley, Amboise, Saumur, Tours, Blois, Angers and Chinon.

We offer horse riding on our own horses at La Prairie, catering for the most experienced competition rider to the complete beginner. We can take you on private one to one hacks in the forest or up to a maximum of three  people (depending on abilities). Please ask for further information.

French cookery lessons can be arranged on site.

Fishing is available in our two lakes.

There are numerous golf courses nearby.

In the winter come 'hunting' with the French. Hunting on horseback as well as hunting for stag, wild boar and deer. You can also try falconry which can be arranged by appointment.

If you are interested in horses then Saumur is the perfect place for you. Visit the Cadre Noir horse museum or the National Stud at Lions D'Angers.

Rates include linen, towels, electricity, water and a small welcome pack of wine, milk, orange juice, tea/coffee, toilet paper and washing up liquid.
Heating, if required, is extra.

We can also provide breakfast to our guests in the gites at a rate of 8 euros per person.
