Wifi internet access is available in all the gites. A no smoking and no pets policy applies.

Lys

Lys is ideal for two people, plus baby/toddler or small child.

The lounge is very comfortably furnished, having a TV, DVD player, hi-fi, DVDs, books and games.

The delightful kitchen / dining room is open plan.

The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, cooker, microwave, iron and ironing board.

The  bedroom is on the 'L' shaped mezzanine floor.

The bathroom has a hand basin, toilet and shower.

French doors lead from the kitchen onto a very private patio with barbecue and garden furniture.

Anjou

Anjou is a traditional longere and benefits from very few stairs; just two leading into the bedrooms and three to the dining room.

A comfortably furnished lounge features a real wood burning fire and is equipped with TV, DVD and video player, hifi, books and games.

The fully equipped kitchen has a split level fan-assisted oven, electric/gas hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, fridge for wine, fridge with freezer box and all the mod-cons that make this a real home from home.

Two double bedrooms.

A twin bedded room.

The large bathroom has a shower and hand basin. There is a separate WC.

Anjou is also equipped with a washing machine, hair dryer and iron and ironing board.

The lovely garden has a lawn, wonderful roses and flowers, a stone-built barbecue and garden furniture.

Soleil

Soleil is a converted wine-making barn that can accommodate 8 (6 adults and 2 children under 12) plus cot.

The huge lounge and dining room are comfortably furnished to a high standard, in addition to having TV, video, DVD and hifi equipment. There are also books and games for all ages.

The semi-circular kitchen is fully fitted with all mod cons including a  double oven and 8 burner hob. We have also retained the original wine press and stone flagged floor.

The family room has a double bed, bunk beds (suitable for children up to 12 years old) and a cot.

All of the bedrooms have double beds with sprung mattresses.

Two of the bedrooms are ensuite.

There is also a third bathroom.

French doors lead from the foyer (where there is a downstairs cloakroom) to your own private patio area complete with garden furniture and barbecue.

All of the properties have central heating (see our price guide page for heating prices).

The gites are set around an attractive flower-filled sunny private gated courtyard and each property has either a private garden or patio area.

For those guests travelling with babies and toddlers we offer at no extra charge a welcome pack which includes cots, highchairs, changing mats, potties and much more. Babysitting can be arranged with a local lady, who charges local prices.

Outside

The heated swimming pool and children's paddling pool and play area (unsupervised) are situated in the large sunny garden. There are also tables, chairs, and sun loungers.

The heated pool is open mid May to mid September.

We have untreated fruit trees, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, rhubarb, pears, apples, plums and cherries which grow abundantly and guests are welcome to sample them.

We have bicycles for hire and although we have helmets, in the interests of safety, we do advise our guests to bring their own to ensure a correct fit.

Local area

The gites are just a few minutes from the hamlet of Les Verchers sur Layon which has a boulangerie and a typical French bar with a pool table.

We are 4 minutes from the market town of Doue la Fontaine which has a number of shops, coffee bars and restaurants including two troglodyte restaurants where you will enjoy a meal in a unique atmosphere and surroundings.

Saumur with its glorious chateau towering above the ancient town and romantic Loire river is 15 minutes away.

Just a short drive away are diverse attractions such as Futurscope, and wonderful chateaux; including: Saumur, Chinon, Anger, Brissac, Villandry, Chenonceau, Amboise, Blois and Usse.

There are adventure parks such as Holly Park aimed at the young and adventure parks with trails and challenges for all ages.

Golf courses dot the region, cycling, golf, horse riding, bird watching, fishing and water sports are all close by.

The world famous Cadre Noir in Saumur opens its training school to the visitor, where visitors can marvel at the relationship and skill of horse and rider. The Tank Museum in Saumur is perfect for boys of all ages.

Cookery

A unique opportunity to enhance your cooking skills on a one day or half day cooking course in stunning surroundings, taught by a Master Chef. The classes are held some 45 minutes from Les Fleurs and provide our guests with a unique opportunity to learn gastronomic cooking from an acclaimed Chef de cuisine who speaks perfect English and will help you every step of the way.

Pricing structure (per week)

Prices include linen, house towels, gas and electricity.
Pool towels are available for hire at 2 euros per week.
Final clean available price on request.

Heating is not included in the rental price.

 Should heating be required a charge of € 0.12 per unit will be made for Soleil.

€50 per week for Anjou and €35 per week for Lys (for 6 hours heating per day).
These prices are subject to change dependant on oil / electricity prices.
If additional heating hours are required these are charged at €2.5 euros per hour per day.
 

Mid week and weekend availability out of season, ask for details.
