Les Jincheres has been renovated to a very high standard and great care has been taken to provide comfortable accommodation while respecting the unique spirit of the old buildings. The three spacious, well equipped cottages can sleep 2 - 17 people and have their own individual character with a wealth of original features, including exposed stone, beams, oak floors and fireplaces, whilst offering most modern conveniences.

All cottages have their own barbecue / sitting out areas and equal use of the swimming pool and lake area.

The pool, 10m x 5m and 1.2m deep, is fully fenced and gated.

The lake is approximately 1/3 acre and is a lovely place to relax and unwind and if you are lucky you may see a kingfisher fly past.

Le Logis du Meunier

A one or two bedroom cottage with oak floors and large beamed ceilings.
The two bedrooms are both ensuite, one double and one twin.
Downstairs is a large sitting/dining room with a wood burning stove.
The well equipped kitchen includes a microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
The cottage overlooks the swimming pool and gardens.

Le Nid de la Huppe

Named after a regular visitor to Les Jincheres. The hoopooes made their nest among the stones at the front of this cottage. Fortunately, they have found another nesting site nearby and still visit to amaze visitors with their colourful plumage.

This three bedroom cottage offers two doubles and one twin room.
There is a bathroom/toilet upstairs and also a downstairs toilet.
Downstairs is a large open plan space with sitting and dining areas set around a wood burning stove.
The well equipped kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer) opens onto the main space.
One of the benefits of this cottage is the garden overlooking the countryside with a well laid out terrace where you can enjoy al fresco living to the full.

This cottage has an interlocking door with Le Jardin which enables 12 people to holiday together.

Le Jardin

The morning sun floods into the living area of this lovely cottage which overlooks a garden and terrace.
There are three bedrooms - one double downstairs with its own shower room and two upstairs, one double and one twin with their own bathroom.
The kitchen opens up into the attractive sitting/dining room which has a wood burning stove to brighten up chilly evenings.
The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer.

Pool and lake

Local Area

Les Jincheres is situated in the country surrounded by sunflower fields and apple orchards. It is an ideal area for walking, cycling, bird-watching or just relaxing.

The micro-climate makes this area very popular with holiday makers and house hunters.

Baguettes and croissants arrive six times a week in high season.

Absie - 3 km away with bakers, supermarkets, pharmacies, etc.

Nearby is an 18-hole championship golf course, horse riding, plan d’eau (water park), karting and ‘Forest of Adventure’.

Pescalis - 10 minutes - is Europe’s largest fishing facility with over 100 hectares of lakes. It has good restaurants and you can hire bikes and fishing equipment here.

Marais Poitevin - known to the French as Green Venice.

The Forest of Mervent - ideal for walking or cycling and the wildlife.

La Tranche sur Mer and Les Sables D’Olonne - for the beaches.

Puy Du Fou - a great medieval day out.

Poitiers and Futuroscope.

Golf - 30 minutes away at Mazieres en Gatine.

Parthenay - a medieval town well worth the visit.

La Rochelle, one of the loveliest seaside towns in France, is approximately one hour away.

La Rochelle and Poitiers airports are one hour away, Nantes is one and a half hours away.
St Malo, the nearest port is 3 hours, Caen and Roscoff are both 4.5 hours and Cherbourg is 5 hours.

Prices are per property per week and include linen for beds, cooking gas and electricity.
Towels are not included.
High chair, cot and stair-gates are available for young children and toddlers.
Please ask for a list of equipment.

Changeover days are normally Saturday but out of high season we are adaptable.

Le Nid and Le Jardin have an interlocking door so a family of 12 can holiday together.
Logis du Meunier can be let as a one bedroom or two bedroom cottage.

Winter lets can be arranged.
 

Bed and Breakfast (per night):

During the low season the owners run B&B - 3 nights minimum.
