Location and activities
The cottage is in a small village called St Malo de la Lande, which is around 5 minutes from the nearest beach.
There are two farms opposite that welcome visitors. Guests can watch the cows being milked. They also have
chickens, rabbits and ducks. Sometimes fresh eggs and other farm produce is offered for sale.
St Malo de la Lande is a little Normandy village which has fruit and vegetable markets 2 to 3 times a week.
There is a grocery shop in the nearest village (1 km) which is open every day, except Wednesday, from 8am to 9pm.
Mont St Michel - 70 km.
D-Day beaches - 40 km.
Agon-Coutainville - 5 minutes - a seaside town very popular with French families.
Boat trips to to the local islands called “Chaussey” can be organised.
There are many attractions such as
tennis clubs, equestrian centre, omnisports, cinemas, boule, golf, sailing club, casino, fishing, lake, pedalos etc.
During the summer there is a club for the children called “Club Mickey”.
Bicycles can be rented locally.
Coutances - 10 minutes St. Lo - 35 minutes Bayeux - 1 hour
Cherbourg - 1 hour Caen - 1.5 hours
