	Normandy holiday cottages near Lisieux in Calvados, Normandy


	La Cour aux Granges consists of two cottages set in 5 acres of private meadows with lawned gardens and a small fishing lake. The property is situated on the outskirts of the village of St Julien le Faucon, 10 minutes from Lisieux in Calvados. St Julien le Faucon has a baker, butcher, mini-market, bars and restaurant

Main House - Accommodation:

Ground Floor

45m² living area, which reaches into the beams of the roof, with a huge fireplace.
There is a stereo system and snooker table as well as a piano.

The dining / TV room has another sitting area with a double sofa bed and a television / video.

The well-equipped kitchen has another open fireplace, and is equipped with a dishwasher.

The bathroom at the other end of the house has laundry facilities with washing machine, ironing board and iron.

From the living area of the house, there is an original staircase to the gallery bedroom, which has a double bed, with a privacy screen.

Above the kitchen are two further bedrooms, one with twin beds and the other with a double bed.

The large landing has a further double sofa bed, and there are two camp beds provided, as well as a cot.

All beds are supplied with duvets, blankets, pillows and covers.

There is a shower room and W.C. adjacent.

The house benefits from central heating throughout.

Outside

The adjoining barn has bicycles and outdoor games such as boules and badminton for the garden and there is a table tennis in the small house. Tennis racquets are provided for the nearby excellent tennis courts in the village’s leisure centre. There is also a barbecue, garden furniture and a swing.




	Maison d’Amis - 2 bedrooms sleeps up to 6 La Maison d’Amis of La Cour aux Granges has its own garden facing away from the main house with standing for a car and a barbecue area with table and chairs. The ground floor has a 42m² living and dining area which incorporates the kitchen corner. The kitchen is well equipped with cooker and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Upstairs are two bedrooms;

one with 3 single beds, one of which pulls out into a double bed, the other bedroom has a double bed.
All beds are supplied with duvets, pillows and covers.

There is a shower room and wc adjacent and the house benefits from central heating throughout.

Local Area

St Julien le Faucon - a 5 minute walk - has a baker, butcher, mini-market, chemist, hairdresser, two bars and an excellent gourmet restaurant.

Lisieux, the second city of Calvados, is just 10 minutes away and has major supermarkets and city centre shopping.

Swiss Normandy is half an hour’s distance just beyond William the Conqueror's home town of Falaise. Historians may also wish to visit the Bayeux Tapestry. Nearer in the same direction, at St Pierre sur Dives, there is a huge market every Monday - just 15 minutes away.

St Julien le Faucon is just 40 minutes from the ferry at Ouistreham Caen, the famous beaches of Deauville and Trouville, the Cote Fleurie and the old port of Honfleur.

To the west are the D-Day landing beaches and the museums and memorials of the Second World War.
