The Chateau is divided into two halves which can be rented together or separately.

East Wing

The East Wing has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, three reception rooms and a large kitchen/diner, arranged as follows:

Downstairs

Beautiful entrance and dining hall with seating for 10 at the large table, dazzling chandelier, huge open fireplace and lots of books and games.

Large L-shaped kitchen/dining room.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, oven hob, microwave, washing machine, large fridge/freezer and dining table.

Large salon - a huge and peaceful living room with satellite TV, hi-fi and DVD player. This room opens out onto the outdoor terrace and barbecue area.

Small salon - a smaller living room just off the main room for quiet moments.

Bedroom One - twin bedded room. Open fireplace and views of the garden.

Downstairs shower room - toilet, multi-jet shower unit and washbasin.

First Floor

Bedroom Two - Double bed, built-in wardrobe and solid oak floor with open fireplace. Fabulous marble ensuite bathroom with bath and shower attachment, WC, bidet and washbasin.

Bedroom Three - Double bed, built-in wardrobe and period dressing table. Fantastic state-of-the-art ensuite shower room with multi-jet shower cubicle and facility to bath children, WC and washbasin.

Second Floor

Bedroom Four - Absolutely huge family room - double bed, two singles and plenty of extra room. Solid oak floor, fireplace and huge walk-in wardrobe. Exposed beams and slanted ceiling.

Ensuite bathroom with bath and shower attachment, WC and washbasin.

West Wing

In the West Wing there are four bedrooms, four bathrooms, one large reception room, a mezzanine area, a large kitchen and a large dining room arranged as follows:

Large kitchen, fully equipped with a dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, washer/dryer, large fridge/freezer and coffee maker.

Formal dining room with dazzling chandeliers and seating for 10 people around the table.

Downstairs shower room with WC, sink and multi-jet shower unit.

A huge and peaceful living room with satellite TV, hi-fi, i-pod docking station and DVD player.

First Floor

Large double bedroom with antique French bed. Beautiful views of the gardens. Double bed and tasteful period furniture.

Ensuite bathroom with spa bath.

Bedroom Two is a large double bedroom with antique French bed and lovely views of the garden.

Fabulous ensuite shower room with state-of-the-art multi-jet shower unit.

Mezzanine area overlooking salon, complete with X-Box games console and games.

Second Floor

Bedroom Three - an absolutely huge luxurious suite with spa bath in the bedroom, plus state-of-the-art shower in its ensuite. Double and two single beds.

Bedroom Four is a small children's room with two single beds off the master suite.

Cottage

The Cottage is a wonderful country hide-away, completely newly refurbished, retaining its original charm yet thoroughly equipped with modern day luxuries.

Downstairs

Sitting room with solid oak flooring, exposed brickwork and views into the garden and outdoor dining, patio and barbeque area through the French doors. The lounge is equipped with satellite TV, DVD player and hi-fi.

Open plan kitchen and dining area with seating for six. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer.

Twin bedded room with solid oak floor, exposed brickwork and views of garden.

Upstairs

Double bedded room with solid oak floor and room for a cot if necessary. Views of garden.

Children's bunk-bedded room, decorated in a child-friendly style.

Bathroom with luxury spa bath and state of the art multi-jet shower unit, washbasin and WC.

Outside

All properties are very private with their own private outdoor terraces with outdoor dining tables and barbecues.

They are designed to be enjoyed by three different groups of people but are also ideal to be rented together for larger groups.

The superb 30ft x 10ft outdoor pool is open from early April until the end of October and is heated with a very effective heater during this time. A fence surrounds the pool ensuring the safety of younger children.

To the front of the property is a formal garden and a huge lawned area at the back which is fenced off where it meets the river so children can play safely in the garden.

There are gates with coded padlocks to bridges over the river to a secret swing garden area, an orchard and our very own meditation island which is wonderful for relaxation sessions.

The chateau has a large duck pond, home to 5 friendly ducks, as well as a large meadow with a 12th century church ruin on it to explore.

The pasture is also home to our donkey Pepito (or Pete for short), and two ponies, Clara and Clarissa, who love meeting our guests.

Local area and activities

Grandcourt is a typical pretty French country village with a breathtaking church, a grocers, a bakers and a bar in the village square which also serves lunch.

The village is right on the edge of the beautiful forest of Eu with its amazing cycle paths and walks.

A 10 minute drive through the forest brings you to the picturesque market town of Blangy-sur-Bresle with its lively Sunday morning market and eclectic collection of shops as well as a large supermarket.

Just 15 minutes drive away is the sleepy coastal town of Criel-sur-Mer with its huge expanse of beach.

If you're looking for a livelier seaside town, then Le Treport and Mers-les-Bain are about 20 minutes drive away and well worth a visit for their fantastic restaurants, interesting architecture and antique shops.

For glorious sandy beaches, Le Crotoy is a little farther north.

The city of Eu, with its striking cathedral is worth a visit and the cities of Dieppe and Abbeville are only 30 minutes drive away.

Monet's garden is nearby at Giverney.

There are several riding schools in the area, catering for everyone from age three upwards.

The lake near Gamaches, about 10 minutes away, offers canoeing, kayaking, water-skiing and windsurfing.

There are lots of fishing opportunities in the region.

Golf at Le Touquet.

Paris is only 2 hours away with Disneyland and Parc Asterix being favourites for the children.

Two towels per person plus pool towel and bathrobes for adults plus one set of bed linen per bed per week are provided free of charge.

Included in rental price: heating, hot water, pool heating (April to October) and a champagne welcome pack.
The only extra to pay is a cleaning and laundry charge

Maid service and bicycle hire can be arranged,
subject to availability and extra charge.

In house catering - we can put you in touch with in-house caterers who will come to the Chateau and cook for you. Subject to availability.

Wireless internet available in the Chateau.
Cottage guests are welcome to intercept the signal in the garden
as it unfortunately doesn't reach the Cottage.

Babysitting can be arranged subject to availability and is payable locally.

High chairs and cots are available on request at the time of booking.

Children, babies and friendly pets are warmly welcomed.
 

Weekend and short break booking available in low season.
