Outside
In front of each gite is an area with outside furniture and a barbecue.
There is a shared laundry room.
Around the house are children’s swings, a slide and a Wendy house.
The lovely large cottage garden should be seen in May and June when the irises and roses are at their best.
On the farm there are sheep, ducks and hens as well as the family dog and cat.
Local area
La Ferme des Vallots is set in 20 acres of pasture with beautiful views of the Vie valley.
Beyond the fields the forest can be explored on foot or by bicycle.
The farm is a mile from the small market town of Livarot where there are shops, bars, supermarkets, restaurants and museums.
Cider, Calvados and Pommeau are made locally and the area is famous for its cheese.
The channel ports are within easy reach as are the picturesque port of Honfleur, the bayeux Tapestry, the fashionable resort of Deauville and the D-day landing beaches.
