Accommodation Le Couvent is full of light with many rooms having a double aspect, high ceilings and large windows. Ground Floor Salon - The elegant blue and white ‘salon’ with marble surround fireplace, DVD/Video, opens through an arch into the dining room. The dining room has a long light-oak table which comfortably seats eight. The family kitchen, large enough to eat in and with a Godin wood burner, leads into a huge back kitchen with a washing machine and other useful appliances. First Floor The first floor, very light and airy, was originally the schoolroom and dormitories for the girls who boarded at the house. There are three bedrooms, one of which has an adjoining door which can be locked if necessary, to the smaller bedroom with two old French wooden beds. Each room has its own separate access. See the owners website for floor plans. The two spacious bathrooms occupy what was the old schoolroom. |
