Activities in the local area
The countryside is superb for walking, part of the famous pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostella passes nearby.
Cycling is a passion in this part of France. The rolling countryside is ideal for the enthusiast or for exploring. Bicycles can be provided on request. The Tour de France in July passes through the region and is something
that should not be missed.
A really worthwhile trip is by Kayak or canoe through the dramatic and beautiful scenery of the Gorges of Averyon at St Antonin Noble Val.
St-Nicholas-de-la-Grave has a good water sports centre with canoes, boats and pedalos for hire.
Take a stroll along the banks of the Tarn and Garonne rivers and enjoy the diversity of bird and wildlife.
There is an excellent equestrian centre a few minutes minutes away at Lauzerte with riding for all levels of experience catered for.
Golf - at Sauveterre there is a 9-hole course, of 5244 metres in a wooded valley with water hazards, suitable for all standards.
Fishing - good fishing is available in the lakes and rivers nearby.
Tennis courts at Cazes-Mondenard.
Parachuting at Bouloc, learn to fly a glider at Moissac or go quad-biking. For younger children there is motor biking and quad biking at “Club PW50” at Lafrançaise for under 12s.
There is a large open-air swimming pool with slide at the “Vallee de Loisirs” in Lafrançaise or a beach at Montaigu-de-Quercy or Beaumont-de-Lomagne.
There are several farm parks nearby and also “Petit Paris” in Montauban.
