The bedrooms have vaulted ceilings and lovely views of the garden and surrounding countryside.

Outside

Each gite has its own patio area with patio furniture.

Barbecues are available. A large garage and drying room are also available.

There is a large garden, a paddock and an orchard.

Local area

'A Poin' is perfectly situated to explore this tranquil region of France which borders the Haute Pyrenees. The majestic peaks of the Pyrenees are visible from many local vantage points. The mountains are easily reached from A Poin and are an ideal destination for all types of outdoor activities.

The Gers is a wonderful area, famous for, amongst other things, foie-gras, armagnac, sunflowers and D'Artagnan one of the three musketeers, whose statue can be seen in nearby Auch.

The peaceful and picturesque countryside has many interesting market towns, bastides and age old places of pilgrimage and history.

Marciac - a 13th century Gascon bastide town is famous for its terrific International Jazz festival held here every August. Nearby are the fortified villages of Tillac and Monlezun.

Castera Verduzan - an interesting village with a small supermarket, restaurants to suit all pockets, a bakery and two butchers. There is a lively morning market every Sunday. The thermal baths are very popular and there is also a casino (with ATM), horse racing and an inland lake with beach.

Pau - small though it is, Pau has plenty of history, an air of tranquil charm and a climate that has attracted visitors since the 1840's. More than that, it is the perfect gateway to Bearn, a region of France that spans the peaks, pistes and mountain streams of the Pyrenees-Atlantiques, picturesque villages, postcard-pretty market towns and villages and age old places of pilgrimage.

Lourdes - in the heart of the Pyrenees, Lourdes receives more than 5 million visitors from all over the world every year.
