	Three stone cottages, with shared swimming pool, set in an acre of gardens nestling on the edge of a lovely hamlet near Chaumussay and surrounded by open fields in the heart of the Loire Valley. To maintain the tranquility of the setting and to ensure total relaxation during your holiday we only accept adults.

La Lune

La Lune has been described as the ‘chocolate box cottage’. Set at the rear of the garden it is very private.

The cottage has a living room with a wood-burning stove, kitchen and shower room with toilet and basin.

The bedroom with king size bed has French windows which lead directly onto the private terrace with garden furniture and barbecue.

Le Fleuve

Le Fleuve is a two storey cottage set in its own romantic garden beside the well.

On the ground floor is an entrance hall, kitchen with wood-burning stove and shower room. Leading off this is a large living / dining room with another wood-burning stove.

Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, one having an ensuite toilet room with basin.

This cottage will sleep 3-4 people, but we do advise visitors that due to the design one bedroom is open-plan to the stairs.

Fleur de Lys

Fleur de Lys is all on one level, it has very spacious rooms and has been elegantly furnished in a sophisticated style.

The entrance hall leads into a kitchen which has a door leading to a private garden space with barbecue.

The living / dining room has a wood-burning stove with visible flame.

The large bedroom, with extra king-size bed has an adjoining bathroom with bath/shower, basin and toilet.

Garden

Each cottage has its own private area of garden.

The properties are set in an acre of gardens which include lawns, an orchard with plum, pear, apple, cherry and walnut trees and also a herb garden.

Set in a quiet part of the garden with views over open fields is the 10m x 4m swimming pool.
For sun worshippers this part of the garden has sun from early morning until nearly sunset.

Local area

Recreational opportunities abound in the region. Biking on the almost traffic-free country roads alongside the wide rivers, privately-owned châteaux and red-roofed villages, certainly qualifies as one of the most delightful activities.

The many rivers will be of special interest to swimmers and those who enjoy fishing.

Bird watching is especially well-rewarded in the Regional Park of the Brenne, a wildlife refuge.

For those who would like to be a little more energetic why not borrow our bikes and try one of the easy local bike rides and of course there are plenty of local walks.

There are local stables and tennis courts.

Golf - we are surrounded by golf courses which are underplayed for most of year, the nearest is just 15 minutes away

Le Grand Pressigny - 7 min - has a fascinating prehistorical museum in its château which has a collection of locally found flint stone tools and weapons.

La Roche Posay - 10 min - a charming and bustling spa town founded by the Romans.
Eighteen and nine-hole golf courses are located here.

Angles-Sur-L'Anglin - 15 min - officially named as "one of the most beautiful villages in France" is famous for its tradition of fine needlework, still carried on by local women.

The Berry - 20 min - home to the Parque Regionale de la Brenne, a wildlife refuge giving those interested in bird watching a wonderful opportunity to view some of the largest bird colonies in Europe.
The charming riverside town of Le Blanc, with its well-preserved medieval quarter and Saturday morning fresh air market, is well worth a visit.

Paris - 1½ hour from Chatellerault - With the TGV high-speed train, it is even possible to leave from Les Frippières for Paris in the morning and return that same night.

La Rochelle - 2 hours - entirely preserved medieval city and the glorious harbour, dominated by twin stone towers, is now the biggest yachting centre on France's Atlantic coast.
The local seafood, particularly the justly famous "fruits de mer", is a treat you will not want to miss.

Dordogne - 2 hours - Home of the Lascaux cave and other ancient sites.
