Spacious accommodation in the Loire


	Maison des Reves is a traditional 19^th century village house set in a secluded orchard garden in the sleepy village of Varennes sur Fouzon. Varennes, in the Indre department of the Loire-Centre, is situated between Chabris and Valençay.

Accommodation

The entrance hall gives access to all the rooms.

The salon also has a double bed settee, a flat screen with DVD video and satellite TV. There is a selection of DVD’s and Videos for you to watch.

Fitted kitchen with gas hob, electric fan oven, dish washer and microwave oven.

The dining room has an impressive antique rosewood and mahogany circular table which seats six and a dresser with a selection of books and games.

The master bedroom with double bed is furnished with period wardrobe and writing desk. The large shuttered window gives a pleasant view of the orchard.

The family room contains bunk beds and a single bed.

The recently modernised bathroom has a full size bath, a power shower cubicle, wash basin, WC and washing machine.

There is a second WC and wash basin at the end of the hall.

Garden

The garden is totally enclosed and a safe place for children to play and explore.

An old pressoir at the rear of the house is a historical reminder that the house used to belong to a wine producing family.

A delightful patio area for all those ‘al fresco’ meals and barbecues or just sitting out and relaxing.

The orchard has many fruit trees. You are welcome to pick your own from apples, pears, cherries, peaches and a few plum varieties.

There is ample off road parking.

Local area

Varennes has a bar/restaurant, post office, butcher and a boulangerie.

Chabris - 5 minutes - has a large supermarket and petrol station. It also has a variety of shops including restaurants, hairdressers, newsagents and a bank.
Chabris also has a swimming pool and a riverside beach where canoes can be hired for river trips.

Valençay - 5 minutes - has one of the finest chateaux in the region. There is also a very nice outdoor swimming pool here.

Selles sur Cher - 15 minutes - is a typical French market town with pavement bars, restaurants, a variety of shops, a small chateau and an impressive church.

Romorantin Lanthenay - 20 minutes - an interesting town with old buildings, shops and a huge shopping complex.

Villentrois - 20 minutes - has a delightful swimming lake with beach and children’s play area.

There are magnificent 13^th century cathedrals in Chartres and Tours.
