	Laplaud Farmhouse offers quality bed and breakfast accommodation in rural France. Situated near Glandon on the Haute-Vienne/Dordogne border, this area is ideal for those seeking a tranquil holiday, with places to visit within an easy drive. Open all year.

Three quality guest bedrooms all with central heating and ensuite facilities.

La Salle Rouge

Ground floor double bedroom with ensuite (including bath and shower).

La Salle Verte

Large twin bedroom, on the first floor, with oak beams, a lounge area and ensuite shower.

A third single bed is available on request.

La Salle Bleue

Large double bedroom, also on the first floor, with oak beams and ensuite shower.

Continental breakfast is included.

We have a large vegetable garden where fruit and vegetables are grown and used to create good quality delicious evening meals which are available on request.

To the rear of the farmhouse there is a large garden area ideal for relaxing on those sunny afternoons. A barbecue area, tables and seating is available, and for those who prefer, alfresco dining can be catered for.

Laplaud is a working farm where we rear the famous Limousin cattle in a traditional way. Calves can be seen to suckle their mothers in the gently sloping fields. There are also a few free range chickens.

The farm has its own woodland with a small river running through it where the abundant wildlife is easily observed. The river is suitable for fishing.

Local area

Situated in a beautiful secluded part of the Haute Vienne, close to the departments of Dordogne and Correze, we are conveniently placed for discovering this unspoilt region of France.

The beautiful market town of St Yrieix-la-Perche is 5km away, it has quaint shops, restaurants and historic buildings and also has a market which is held on the second and fourth Friday of the month.

A large lake with swimming and sunbathing facilities can be found on the outskirts of St Yreix.

There are chateaux at Jumilhac-le-Grand, Coussac Bonneval and Pompadour, famous for its stud farm, dressage and racing.

The ancient village of Segur-le-Chateau is on our doorstep, where you can visit the ruins of the once glorious chateau, the town has a peaceful river flowing through. In July and August there are evening markets with barbecues and lively traditional music.

The small cites of Limoges, Brive and Perigueux are all within 1-hour drive.

There are excellent golf courses in the area.

Limoges Airport is less than an hours drive and Bergerac is around 2 hours
