	Mas Esperandieu, ideal for a large family or sharing, is located in the Gard between the wine regions of the Languedoc-Roussillon and the Rhône Valley. The property is situated in the tranquil countryside on the outskirts of the village of Deaux, 20 minutes from Alès.

This restored farmhouse, dating from the 1850s, mixes the old-world charm of high ceilings and tiled floors with all the modern amenities of modern day life including two full baths.

Ground floor:

Fabulous fully equipped kitchen.
Country style dining room.
Cosy sitting room with fireplace.
Spectacular two-storey living room.
Bedroom with rustic wood-beamed ceiling and a romantic four-poster double bed set back into a stone archway.
Bathroom with shower.

First floor:

Mezzanine with a fold-out futon that sleeps two.
Sitting room - ideal for reading and relaxation.
Bedroom with high sloped ceiling and a Queen Anne sleigh bed. This room overlooks the rear terrace.
Bedroom with a single bed and a futon that sleeps two.
Gorgeous bathroom decorated with blue and white ceramic tiles with a large bathtub.

Outside:

South-facing terrace with table, chairs and umbrella with a view of the garden and front lawn.

North-facing terrace off the living room, with table and chairs.

Outdoor bread oven.

Local area and activities

Venzenobres, a medieval hilltop village, is 1.5 miles away.

Nearby is Alès with large supermarkets and restaurants.

Uzès, one of France’s 50 Villes d’Art, is a 20 minute drive away. Every Saturday there is large market that sells everything from pottery to fresh meat and fish. The town has terrific restaurants and charming shops to explore.

Club Deaux - tennis courts, swimming pool, miniature golf and a dance club.

La Bouscarasse - a waterpark - approximately 10 minutes drive.

Golf at Uzès and Nîmes.

Collias near Uzès has a beach, kayaking and riverside footpaths from Pont du Gard to Pont St Nicholas.

The nearest airports are at Nîmes (30 miles) and Montpellier (45 miles).

The nearest mainline railway stations are at Nîmes and Avignon (40 miles).
