Large kitchen/diner with gas and electric hobs and electric full size oven, combi microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle and coffee maker. There is plenty of cutlery, plates, dishes and saucepans plus an iron, ironing board and hair dryer.

Large lounge with natural stone walls and wood burning stove, with one sofa and one “clic-clac” sofa bed, three armchairs ,TV, DVD, stereo and internet with wifi.

Ground floor bedroom with two single beds and a wash basin.

There is also a double bedroom on the ground floor.

Ground floor shower room with wash basin / vanity unit.

Separate WC.

Upstairs is a very large bedroom with a queen size bed and a double bed, WC and sink.

Local area

Le Forestier is situated in the small spa town of St. Honore Les Bains on the edge of the Morvan National Park. Our road is a no through lane ending in footpaths into a large forest.

In the village there is a small supermarket, a grocer, baker, butcher and chemist. The village has some very pretty and unusual buildings relating to the fact it is an old spa town.

Decize - 30km - has three very large supermarkets, but there are other supermarkets within 15 minutes.

There are numerous sporting activities within a short walk of the house. There is the health spa also within a short walk where you can receive various treatments that are less expensive than in England.

Within a short walk we have riding stables, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis, mini golf, fishing lake, park with play areas for children, country walking or jogging paths, spa where you can take the waters and receive treatments, and numerous restaurants.

Lac de Settons - 50km - with beaches and woods. There are boat trips, water skiing, fishing and restaurants.

Lac Panneciere - 38km - is less commercialised and quieter - you can fish or swim.

Towns worth visiting with many buildings of interest are Autun, Chateau Chinon, Nevers and Vezelay.

Saint Honoré-les-Bains is situated at the southern edge of the Morvan National Park.

There are many natural lakes in the park offering fishing, water sports and relaxation. There are areas designated for bird watching, walking, riding and mountain biking.

Mont Beuvray has lovely walks and also a museum of Bibracte artifacts, where you can also see a lot of archaeological excavation.

Five minutes from the house is the Nivernaise canal where you can have boat trips, or just walk or cycle along the tow paths. Further towards Nevers is the river Loire.
