	Moulin de Begasse is an ancient, restored water mill situated on a five-acre lake in a beautiful, secluded setting. The extensive grounds include a heated indoor swimming pool, and gardens with timber decks over the water for fishing, boating or relaxing in the sun. This tranquil location is a haven for all kinds of birds and animal life - a perfect holiday retreat.

Accommodation

All the properties have central heating and open fires, private patios and access to the lake with use of all facilities, including rowing boats and swimming pool.

Please note: Maison du Lac and Studio du Lac open onto lakeside and therefore may not be suitable for very young children.

Maison du Lac:

King-size double bedroom with en-suite shower room.

Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher.

Living room with two large sofas (can be used as extra beds) and DVD player and 26” screen.

Conservatory opening onto large terrace overlooking the lake.

	Studio du Lac: King-size double bedroom with adjoining shower room. Kitchen and living room with two sofa beds. Lakeside dayroom in converted mill workings area with woodburning stove. Lakeside terrace with timber deck, table, chairs and barbecue

Gite du Jardin:

Converted stable building with spacious open-plan design.

Gallery sleeping area (kingsize double bed).

Bedroom with three single beds.

Living area with stone fireplace.

Kitchen.

Shower room.

Two day beds.

Private enclosed garden (ideal for small children, chairs and barbecue).

Local Area:

A perfect holiday retreat in a beautiful location, Moulin de Begasee is near the small town of Le Faouët ( 2 minutes drive away), famous for its timber-framed market hall. Situated in a picturesque woodland area with streams and rivers running down to Brittany’s south coast, sandy beaches are just a 30 minute drive away.

The region and its town are rich in history; towns such as Le Faouët, with shops, banks and weekly market, or Quimperle (20 minutes drive away), a picturesque medieval town built on two rivers and traversed by many bridges.

Other fascinating towns include Lorient (30 minutes drive) which is built around a natural harbour estuary. The town has a 10-day festival every August.

Inland and upstream is Hennebout (25 minutes away), an old, walled town with beautiful, open views of the Blavet River. To the south-east of Lorient is the Côte Sauvage, with the warmest bathing in Brittany. Other possible seaside excursions include a trip to Quiberon, a popular island resort joined to the mainland by a strip of sand.

Local activities: golf, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, cycling, tennis, walking, horse riding, coarse fishing, snorkelling, swimming, bird watching, flora & fauna, sea fishing.
