Bed & Breakfast or Self Catering in Breton Longhouse with heated swimming pool

The main farmhouse is used as a well established Bed & Breakfast during spring, early summer and autumn (unless booked for self catering), focusing mainly on parties of golfers, fishermen or just friends and families.

Accommodation

All the furnishings are to a high standard and all the necessary equipment can be found in the large galley kitchen.

Access to a comfortable conservatory can be gained from either the kitchen or the dining room which leads out to the garden area.

Ground floor

A comfortable large dining room and a very large carpeted lounge complete with bar.

The lounge has a large wood-burning fire set on a granite hearth, a TV, satellite decoder, DVD, video and music system.

Ensuite bedroom with a small double and a single, making it ideal for the elderly or disabled.

Separate toilet.

First floor

3 twin-bedded ensuite bedrooms.

1 ensuite bedroom with a double and a single bed.

Second floor

Ensuite family-sized bedroom with 1 double and 3 single beds.

Ensuite family-sized bedroom with 1 double and 2 single beds.

There are two folding travel cots with bedding and a high chair.

Each room has electric radiators and is fully carpeted.

Cold air fans are provided for hot summer nights.
 

Outside

Chez Tranquille stands in 3500 sq.m. of private grounds and is split into various areas.

A large area laid to lawn where golf chipping, badminton, volley ball or football can be played.

A fenced off swimming pool, 9.6m x 4.6m, above ground for children’s safety, with lockable ladder for climbing in and out. The owners clean and check the water quality on a regular basis during your stay (use of the pool is not allowed after 10pm).

Bed and Breakfast

Should you prefer not to go self catering a special service is offered for parties of 8 -18; a choice of bed and breakfast or half board.

Activities

Golf - The area has 9 golf courses nearby and the owners have agreements offering discounted green fees with 6 of them.

Fishing - There are a variety of rivers, canals and lakes. The closest lakes being 800 metres away.

Walking / cycling - The area offers an ideal location for user-friendly cycle tracks and walkways. Closest is the canal tow path only 800 metres away.
The Emerald Coast with unrivalled scenery and opportunities for both cycling and walking is only 25 minutes away.

House Hunting - The owners have more and more clients who are looking for property in the area and as they have seven years experience and knowledge of the area are able to direct people to English speaking contractors and estate agents.
 

The Area

Locally there are water parks, zoos, historical towns and many Chateaux and gardens to visit.

Dinan - 17km - bars, restaurants and boat trips along the river Rance.

St Malo / Dinard - 36km - Sandy coves, beaches, Aquarium, Old walled town and ferry terminal.

Rennes - 40km - capital of Brittany.

Mont St Michel - 50km - World Heritage Site and reptilarium.

Self catering pricing structure (per week)

Rental price includes: bed linen, towels, water, gas for cooking and an allowance for electricity consumption, extra consumption is charged at normal rates.
Wood for the wood burners can be purchased from the owners.
Bookings are normally Saturday to Saturday but in the low/mid season mid week bookings may be possible.

Children ... 4 - 12 half price,  children under 4 ... free.

Prices are for bed and continental breakfast.

Supplements are available and include:
Full English breakfast ... £8 per person.
4 course evening meal plus wine and coffee ... £26 per person.
