	Two independent gites in large grounds with splash pool. Bas Brézel holiday gites is ideal for exploring both Brittany and Normandy, as it is on the border of both regions. It is situated on the outskirts of the sleepy village of Le Ferré in Brittany and is just 2 miles away from the bustling market town of St James in Normandy.

The Cottage

The Cottage is over 200 years old and has been lovingly restored with many original features such as exposed beams and stonework throughout.

The ground floor is open plan. A wood burning stove provides warmth on cool evenings if needed.

The living area has comfortable sofas seating eight adults easily, a DVD player and stereo.

A large farmhouse table in the dining area seats eight.

The kitchen area is well equipped for your holiday stay with a cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and all modern appliances.

Ground floor shower room and second toilet.

First floor

Bathroom with large bath and combined shower.

A cot is also provided if required at no extra cost.

Outside

Barbecue area at the rear, gardens surround the property and there is ample parking.

Facing the properties there is an enclosed half-acre cider apple orchard with splash pool and children’s play area with two sets of swings.

The Farmhouse

The Farmhouse has been lovingly decorated and furnished and maintains many of its original decor and features.

There is ample space downstairs to accommodate a very large family with comfortable seating and separate dining areas.

The kitchen area contains every modern convenience including a dishwasher and washing machine as well as all the normal domestic appliances.

Ground floor twin bedroom with mahogany wardrobe.

Large ground floor shower room.

Spacious main bedroom with a king sized bed and 2 singles for a family.

A further family room with a hand made wrought iron king sized bed and a single bed.

A smaller bedroom hosts a single pine bed

Local area

Bas Brézel is situated in Brittany in the village of Le Ferré just 2 miles from the bustling Normandy market town of St James.

Mont Saint-Michel, one of France’s best-known attractions is 12 miles from Bas Brézel.

The most popular beach is at Carolles Plage, about 30-40 minutes away.

Sandy beaches of Cancale in Brittany are 45 minutes away.

There are several zoo's in the region.

Bayeux, famous for its tapestry is approximately 1 hour north of Bas Brézel.

The towns of Granville and Saint Malo - one hour - with designer boutiques, scores of restaurants and an added bonus is that these towns have beautiful, sandy beaches.

The fortified town of Dinan is situated in an outstanding location overlooking the valley of the river Rance.

Golf -Château des Ormes offer excellent courses. The thirty-one Brittany courses are recognised for their quality and beauty, and include both parkland and links courses.

Fishing - Brittany is France's most favoured region for game fishing. The Elorn, Blavet, Ellé, Triieux, Aulne, Steir and Odet are all rivers where fine salmon can be caught.
Excellent trout can also be caught in these rivers, as well as in the Vilaine, Scorff, Penzée, Leff and Léguer.
In the quieter waters to the east there is an abundance of pike, perch and other coarse fish.

Not far away is Fougeres, a large lively town with a good Saturday market and a magnificent castle.

There are 2 Aqua parks in the region, one is Cobac Parc in Brittany, 50 minutes away, and the other is at St Martin de Landelles, 30 minutes away, which has huge water slides.
