Accommodation Comfortable living room with English television, a video and DVD player, an X-Box with a small selection of games and a varied selection of videos. There is a double sofa bed for additional sleeping accommodation. The modern kitchen is fully equipped and includes a microwave and dishwasher. There is a small utility room with a washing machine. The beautifully finished shower room has a large walk-in shower, wash basin and WC. The large bedroom has a king size bed and a range of bedroom units. A section of the bedroom has been curtained off and gives a cosy private small single sleeping space, ideal for a child. For the slightly older child/teenager, a landing bedroom has been created, again curtained off for privacy. Both of these children’s areas have full size single beds. There is also a travel cot available for an infant although you will have to bring cot linen. Wall-mounted radiators and a wood burning stove ensure a warm, inviting stay any time of the year. |

Outside Garden with patio area, garden furniture and barbecue. Garden games are available. Mountain bikes are available for guests at no additional charge. For 2010, a heated swimming pool will be available from April to the end September.
The cottage is within easy walking distance of the small, friendly village of Paule. There are a couple of bars and a local shop which provides all your basic needs. The local bar ‘Le Fer de Cheval’ serves a set lunch menu and an evening meal most nights. We are close to both the country town of Carhaix and the small town of Rostrenen, both of which have a good selection of small traditional shops and restaurants. Each summer in July sees the arrival of the Vieilles Charrues festival with its international artists. The festival is in easy reach of Paule. The beautiful coasts of Brittany are within 60 minutes drive. Lovely medieval towns and fishing villages provide the holidaymaker with a delightful choice. The Nantes/Brest Canal is within 2 miles of the cottage. Water sports or sunbathing, can be enjoyed just 20 minutes away at the huge wonderful man made reservoir, Lac de Guerledan. Dinan - is a beautiful day out with many medieval buildings. Rennes - the capital of Brittany offers museums, galleries and shopping. The lovely seaside resort of Roscoff with its narrow lanes and lovely beaches is one hour away. Visit the potteries of Quimper with their distinctive colours and designs. Concarneau - A pretty walled town right on the sea. Enjoy crepes or mussels in one of the cafes/restaurants. Brest - Visit the amazing Oceanapolis or just enjoy walking around this ancient city. Carnac - Enjoy lunch overlooking the sea and wonder at the world famous and amazing standing stones. Brest airport is 45 minutes away, Dinard airport is 90 minutes and Rennes airport is approximately 2 and a half hours away. By ferry - Paule is approximately 2 hours from St Malo, 1 hour from Roscoff, whilst Cherbourg and Caen are both about a 3 hours drive. |

The weekly rental includes electric, water, gas, bed linen and tea towels. Please note that personal/beach towels are not provided. The cottage is strictly non smoking.
