	Traditional 17th Century French Farmhouse and gite with swimming pool and large south facing garden overlooking woods, fields and valleys. Set in a tranquil, relaxing location close to the village of Sainte Foy de Longas between Bergerac and Lalinde in the Dordogne.

Accommodation

The farmhouse:

Entrance hall.

Large lounge / dining room.

Two double bedrooms.

Family room containing one double and two single beds, hand basin and shower.

Separate wc.

Shower room with wc and hand basin.

Kitchen with microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.

The gite:

Lounge / dining room with inbuilt kitchen unit and large ancient fireplace.

Shower room with wc, shower and wash basin.

Two bedrooms in the loft are accessible via a steep, narrow staircase from the lounge.

The double room is reached through the first bedroom which has 2 single beds and is ideal for children.

Cot, baby bath and high chair are available on request.

Outside

The farm, surrounded by a number of charming old barns, is set in peaceful, attractive countryside and enjoys pleasant views.

There is a large new swimming pool 10m x 5m which is accessible by roman steps.
The pool is fenced and is secure for children.

Garden furniture, table tennis and a barbecue are provided.

Local area

The Dordogne is one of the most beautiful areas of France. It is richly wooded, interspersed with abundant farmland, rivers, chateaux, medieval towns and villages.

The nearest village is Sainte Foy de Longas (1.5 miles) with Sainte Alvère 4 miles away.

There is a truffle farm in Sainte Foy de Longas with local produce and tours available.

The nearest towns are Bergerac (15 miles) and Lalinde (7 miles).

There are many leisure activities in the local area including cycle hire in Trémolat.

Canoeing on the rivers Dordogne and Vézère.

Swimming and water sports on the many lakes with sandy beaches.

Riding and pony trekking are nearby.

Golf: 9 and 18 hole courses within 10 miles.

Fishing in the rivers and lakes.

There are local markets selling fresh produce every day. This region is famed for its foie gras, truffles and fruity wine.

*The gite across the garden can be booked in addition to the main farmhouse, should the size of the party require it.
The gite will not be let individually to another party should you not wish to book it yourself.

All blankets, pillows and bed linen are inclusive. A set of towels can be hired for £5 per person per rental.
Electricity and gas for lighting and cooking are included in the price. Additional heating costs for early and late season holidays will be charged for.
