Lou Bessou is a south-facing traditional stone gite attached to the main house but with its own entrance and large enclosed grounds of around 1,000 square meters.
Lou Bessou has double and twin bedrooms upstairs but can sleep up to 6 guests (ask for more details) with two separate bathrooms also upstairs.

Gites de Bessou is perfectly situated in between several of the Bastide villages of the northern Lot et Garonne in a peaceful part of the countryside brilliant for walks, runs or bike rides.
The area is steeped in history and there are many fine chateaux close by to visit such as Chateau Bonaguil and Chateau Biron.
Beautiful historic towns and 'bastides' including Sarlat, Pujols, Bergerac, Cadouin and Monpazier.
Breathtaking views will be discovered at Beynac, Domme and Rocamadour.
The Lot and Dordogne rivers are approximately a 35 minute drive.
Bergerac airport is within a half hour drive.
Bordeaux and Toulouse airports are two hours drive.
The larger towns of Villeneuve-Sur-Lot and Bergerac are close for serious shoppers.
The area abounds with good restaurants. It is possible to get a good four course midday meal including wine for as little as 16 euros.
The gentle rolling countryside and near empty country lanes, paths, and bridleways offer ideal rambling and cycling conditions.
Canoes can be hired on the rivers of Dordogne and the Lot.
There is excellent swimming in the lakes nearby.
Golf; there are 9 and 18 hole golf courses within easy access.
Fishing is permitted in many of the rivers. (a licence must be obtained locally).
Other local activities include an Outward Bound Park, horseriding, tennis and birdwatching.
Villeréal is a lively small town to the north around a 5-minute drive from Gites de Bessou. It is a Bastide town with a fascinating history evident with the brilliantly preserved 14th century arcaded square and the striking 13th century fortified church. The central square is lined by authentic shops, cafes and half-timbered houses.
There is a produce market every Saturday morning which is always a lively affair and an opportunity to sample the local produce. The night market on Monday evenings is a special experience where you can indulge in fine food from the surrounding stalls and enjoy a meal under the covered market with live entertainment and a laid-back atmosphere.
Monflanquin is a charming hilltop village just a 10-minute drive from Gites de Bessou. Originally a military Bastide town built in 1256, Monflanquin has retained its medieval character and has been beautifully preserved in the central square and surrounding streets which makes it a great place for a leisurely stroll on a warm day.
Issigeac is a 20-minute drive from the gites heading north through Villereal.
The best way to enjoy Issigeac is simply to stroll the narrow streets taking in the old architecture and then stopping off for a drink - we particularly like the tree-shaded Café de l’Europe tucked away in the corner of Place de l’Église which is great for people-watching with the St. Felicien Church as a backdrop.
The Sunday morning markets are famous and they are considered to be one of the best in the area. The lively market takes over the town so it can be good fun and a chance to try the local produce and see the local arts and crafts scene.
Monpazier, situated east of Villereal in the Dordogne region, is a stunning medieval village and well worth the 15 minute drive from Gites de Bessou. Monpazier’s striking medieval centre is almost completely intact which makes it one of the best-preserved Bastide towns and one which has been classified as one of the “most beautiful villages in France”.
The central square is the heart of Monpazier and bordered by a number of inviting shops and cafes with a large market hall at one end.
