Accommodation

Each gite is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. All gites have full sized cookers, fridges and microwaves together with plenty of good quality cutlery, crockery and glasses.

Each gite has a radio/CD player together with a TV and DVD player.

Three of our gites have kingsize beds whilst Le Pavillon has a super kingsize bed with the option to be arranged as two singles.

All beds are dressed with 400 thread count finest Egyptian cotton linen to ensure that you sleep comfortably and peacefully.

In addition to all bed linen, we provide towels and pool towels for use during your stay.

Each gite has its own private terrace with barbecue.

Le Pavillon has its own washing machine, whilst a further two washing machines and a tumble dryer are available for guests’ use in the pool room.

Les Reveries

Les Reveries enjoys the daytime sun from its shaded terrace which has a delightful view over the gardens.

Inside you will find a kitchen with an archway leading to the sitting room and dining area.

An open plan staircase leads to the galleried bedroom with dressing area and wash basin, ensuite shower room and WC.

The bedroom has a kingsize bed and ample wardrobe space.

Le Pavillon

All on one level, Le Pavillon is ideal for guests with mobility problems.

The delightful open plan living/dining area leads into a fully equipped kitchen complete with washing machine.

The bedroom is furnished with a super kingsize bed that can be arranged as two single beds if desired. There is ample wardrobe space. Off the bedroom is an ensuite shower room and WC. This delightful gite is perfect for couples seeking a truly romantic and private getaway.

Le Pavillon, surrounded by its own private garden, is set away in a lightly wooded area of the grounds with a separate entrance driveway.

A sunny terrace gives access to a private plunge pool. Guests may also use the main swimming pool.

Le Pavillon also benefits from the lovely shaded “abri”, complete with table and chairs and barbecue where guests can enjoy a meal in the shade.

The pool and pool room

Situated by the main pool, the pool room is equipped with two washing machines and a tumble dryer. There is also a fridge and plastic glasses/dining ware for drinks by the pool.

Here is where you will find our DVD library together with lots of local information and a selection of books, magazines and games.

Local area

Lalinde, 8km, lies on the banks of the River Dordogne and is a typical French bastide town with a square, restaurants, boules pitch, small local shops and a colourful weekly market on Thursday mornings.

Lalinde also has a bike hire centre, great for exploring the miles of woodland tracks that surround the property and for the less energetic there are plenty of lovely forest walks.

La Terre des Bois is well situated for many of the area’s tourist attractions including the famous cave paintings at Lascaux, the Neanderthal and Cro-Magnon habitats around Les Eyzies and the magnificent châteaux at Monbazillac and Beynac.
The cloisters at Cadouin and Josephine Baker’s Art Deco château are within easy reach as are the bastide towns of Beaumont, Monpazier and Villeréal.
Ancient churches, ruined chateaux, beautiful views, walks and river trips and local arts and crafts are all on our doorstep.

Golf is available at three courses all within 30 minutes drive, the nearest is only a 10 minute drive.

There is a choice of lakes within easy reach, offering wind surfing, fishing and swimming.

The beautiful River Dordogne offers a wide variety of pleasures including swimming, fishing and canoeing.

There are riding stables close by and balloon flights are available for those wishing to see an aerial view of the Dordogne.

Bergerac airport is a 25 minute drive from the property.
