	Self catering private farmhouse with swimming pool in Bayac, Pays Beaumontois, Dordogne.


	Large holiday home with swimming pool set in large gardens plus 8000m² paddock. The house is situated in the traditional old village of Bayac close to Beaumont Du Perigord in the picturesque Couze valley and within 1 hours drive of almost all the Dordogne’s famous historic sites. Close to La Linda, Molieres, Le Buge and Beaumont this is a great base to explore from. Pets welcome.

Ground floor

Large entrance hall and salon with original beamed ceiling and wooden staircase to the first floor.

A second large salon with comfortable sofas, a huge feature stone fireplace for an open log fire in winter, UK satellite TV including BBC and ITV. Video, DVD, music centre.
French doors leading to the front garden.

Dining room (30ft) with massive oak dining table seating 10 - 12 persons.

Shower room, separate toilet and utility room with washing machine, hanging space and iron etc.

Farmhouse-style kitchen with large 5-ring cooker/oven, fridge/freezer, double sink, mini oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker and French farmhouse furniture including table and 4 chairs, large dresser, long sideboard and plenty of crockery and utensils.

There is gas central heating throughout for those visiting in the winter months.

First floor

Bathroom and toilet.

A small Moses basket and a large cot are available if required.

Private, enclosed, south facing pool with solar shower and large patio with table and chairs for six, parasol and ample loungers. The pool is lit at night.

There are private gardens on three sides and a private driveway along the fourth with lockable gates. Ample secure parking for 4 cars.
There is a large fruit and vegetable garden facing the house and the owners plant crops for guests use.

To the rear is a walnut grove and an 8000m² paddock with plenty of room for sports such as football.

Local area

Bayac is situated to the north-west of the Pays Beaumontois and borders the left bank of the river Couze.
The village is a centre of prehistoric interest with the discovery in 1880 of a special type of utensil at La Gravette.
There is fishing in the village at the local Pizza/Tabac and licences are available.

Le Pays Beaumontois is a prime destination in the Dordogne due to its variety of countryside and the diversity of its architectural heritage, as well as its geographical position half way between Sarlat and Bergerac and in the countryside of the “bastide” villages.

This area also has to offer: 100km of walks and cycle paths and rivers and lakes for swimming and fishing.

We provide a comprehensive pack of leaflets and information on most local attractions, most are in English and guests can use the local ‘passport’ scheme with offers on local attractions and discount on restaurants etc.

Prices are for 6 persons or more.

There is a 15% reduction for 5 persons or less (except for the July/August peak).

Previous clients qualify for a 5% discount.

All guests have to pay a local visitor tax of 50 centimes per adult (over13) per night stay.
In winter logs can be provided for a small fee.
Towel sets and bedding are available for a small fee.
Maid service available at local rates.
