	Tucked away in a quiet side street of a small bastide village, this property comprises three 18th century cottages combined into one, attractively renovated throughout. There is a large terrace garden and a large heated swimming pool. The property is situated in Villefranche de Lonchat, 15 minutes from St Emilion, in the Dordogne.

Fully equipped kitchen with double sink with filtered water, antique pine table, chairs, unusual corner dresser, gas hob, 2 electric ovens, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and coffee percolator.

Utility room - washing machine, iron, ironing board, sink, and antique settle.

Dining room - Victorian pine Welsh dresser, chiffonier, large refectory table and 8 chairs, occasional tables and Grandfather clock.

Lounge - leather suite, easy chairs, large pine coffee table, traditional fireplace and log burner, satellite TV, video, DVD and stereo plus CD.

Sun lounge leading to covered terrace with large table and chairs.

Ground floor ensuite bedroom with antique brass bed and furniture.

First floor
The first floor can be accessed using the internal staircase or steps and balcony from the garden.

Large heated swimming pool with Roman end and diving board.

High surrounding walls make this a glorious sun trap and give complete privacy.

Local area and activities

The Dordogne is renowned for its wine, climate and history. Villefranche de Lonchat is ideally situated to sample them all.
Summers are hot but not excessively so. Spring and autumn are very good times to visit and winter months can offer sunshine and clear skies.

Villefranche de Lonchat lies between the rivers L’Isle and Dordogne.

The Lac de Gurçon - 2 minutes away - has boating, fishing, swimming, windsurfing, horse riding and tennis. There are also 5 inexpensive bar/restaurants and the large sandy beach has two snack bars and a water chute.

Golf at the famous Chateau de Vigier is 30km away.

Villefranche de Lonchat has two doctors, pharmacy, bakery, food store, two bar/restaurants and a beautifully renovated hotel with an excellent restaurant. You can walk for your bread and croissants, have a wonderful meal and a drink without worrying about driving.

The nearest town is Montpon (10 minutes).

St Emilion the famous medieval town and wine centre, is only 15 minutes away and St. Foy and Castillion are also close by.

Perigueux - 50 minutes - cultural heart of the region.

Atlantic beaches - 90 minutes.

Rentals run from Saturday to Saturday
Linen and towels (not beach towels) are provided.
Mid season (May, June and September) prices include heated pool.
